Edie Magnus

Edie Magnus has been doing storytelling and straight talk for more than 20 years.

Edie is currently a doctoral student in Education at Northeastern UniversityShe served for 14 years as the Executive Director of Media and Innovation for Mercy University, a private not for profit institution based in Westchester, NY. She was the voice of the college on radio and TV, a consultant in the development of Mercy Business Television, and was an adjunct professor in television journalism and business communications to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Edie has been seen all over the world as a correspondent and anchor for ABC, CBS, and NBC Networks; at MSNBC and CNBC on cable; at the syndicated television program “USA Today the Television Show”, and at PBS as a special correspondent to “Worldfocus” as well as the host of several documentary specials for public television. Her work has focused most significantly on the industries of health, medicine, wellness, and mental illness.

Ms. Magnus is on the Board of Advisors of Shatterproof, the first national organization dedicated to battling the disease of addiction, to ending the silence and shame associated with it, and to making changes in public policy to bridge the enormous gap in resources for the disease.

A graduate of Middlebury College with a B.A. in English Literature, and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership, Ms. Magnus is married to television producer Robert Mayer. They have two sons and live in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.
