Edie holds a doctorate in Education from Northeastern University. She consults colleges and universities on using video and audio to humanize online instruction.
Edie has been seen all over the world as a correspondent and anchor for ABC, CBS, and NBC Networks; at MSNBC and CNBC on cable; at the syndicated television program “USA Today the Television Show”, and at PBS as a special correspondent to “Worldfocus” as well as the host of several documentary specials for public television. Her work has focused most significantly on the industries of health, medicine, wellness, and mental illness.
Edie serves on the Board of Media Advisors to Shatterproof, a national organization dedicated to battling the disease of addiction. She is also on the Board of Governors of the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester.
A graduate of Middlebury College, Edie has a B.A. in English Literature, a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, and a Doctoral Degree in Education. She is married to former television producer Robert Mayer. They live in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.
